Projects: Jeff Wolf gave a presentation on the Russian radio project. They have an immediate need for $3,000 a year to restore the line linking Moscow with station KICY in Alaska. Satellite coverage for all of Russia would cost $2,000. This need is going to be publicized in a coming edition of the Conference News. Covenant Men could make it the primary project for the next fiscal year. Men are giving to the work in Alaska through Covenant Men and some individually to KICY, Missionary Repair Center (MARC), Amundsen Educational Center (AEC), Alaska Christian College (ACC) and to village ministries. The conversion of one set of bunk beds in the log cabins to a double bed with a single bunk above was discussed. We want to make the double bed to take the same width mattress as the beds in Lakeside and Timberidge. It was thought that the bed would not take too much room and would be a place to sit during cabin activities. Next meeting: Will be May 20th at West Hills Covenant Church in Portland.
