Covenant Men Board Meeting
Board Meeting; Cascade Camp & Conference Center; January 14, 2006

Attending: John Prouty, Jeff Wolf, Joe Geldmacher, Bud Olson, Keith Olson, John Tissell, Harold Ulfers and John Delong

Jeff Wolf opened the meeting by leading devotions. He emphasized that we should "be ready"

The agenda for the meeting was presented and approved.

Minutes: The draft of the September 17 meeting minutes was unavailable. The minutes from the Annual and the meeting October 15 were approved.

Reports: John Delong presented the treasures report.
Keith Olson presented the financial secretaries report. The was discussion on how the $100 designated for Cascades kitchen and the $442.23 designated for the "park benches" at Cascades should be accounted for. It was decided that the $100 should  go to the general fund (the table has been purchased for the kitchen) and the $442.23 should be designated Cascades special project.

Designated money on hand was distributed:

                                         200. Amundsen Education Center
                                         115. MARC general
                                          15. MARC pilots
                                         145. MARC Village ministries

Money should be set aside for the portable barbecue. It is estimated that $350 will be needed. Covenant Men are trying to purchase as many as 24 benches for the Camp. Jeff Wolf will be contacting churches to see if they are willing to underwrite a bench.

Bunk beds: Discussion of bunk beds with a double lower bunk and single upper bunk was discussed. This will require a new template for the bunk ends. John Tissell was  asked to measure the existing double beds at the Camp so that the exact size can be determined.

Fall Retreat: Henry Greenidge will be the speaker and the Highland Covenant will provide the music. The music may be augmented by several additional persons.

Annual meeting: We are allowed one delegate. John Prouty, as president, will be the Men's delegate. Harold Ulfers will serve as alternate.

Annual meeting breakfast: John Prouty has been in contact with the church. So far they have not established their committee. We are expect to pay about $7.50 for the breakfast. The annual meeting will be at the breakfast. Item to be discussed include a By-Laws amendment, approval of the last annual meeting minutes and  of officers for the board.

Scholarships: We have been unable to obtain names of seminary students from the North Pacific Conference.  When they are obtained, the maximum scholarship will the $750 with the maximum of all scholarships $2200.

Projects: We should make a list of  possible missions projects for 2006-7 and circulate it for approval by E-Mail by February 15.  Possible candidates are: Alaska Projects and Russian Radio. 

Next meeting,  March 25, 2006, Cascades Camp and Conference Center, at 9:30 AM.
