Covenant Men Board Meeting
Board Meeting; Cascades Camp & Conference Center, November 11, 2006

Attending: John Prouty, Jeff Wolf, John Delong, Harold Ulfers and John Tissell.

The agenda for the meeting was presented and approved.

Minutes: The minutes from the meeting May 20 were approved as amended.

Reports: John Delong presented the financial secretaries report. Motion made, seconded and passed that it be approved. In the absence of the treasurer, no treasures report was presented, but it was noted that a check for $1745 has been sent to Russian Radio. Funds will not be distributed to the designated recipient until $300 has been received.

Cascades Camp and Conference Center: Rob Mohrweis, from Cascades Camp & Conference Center, took part in a discussion of the critique of the fall retreat. There should be more upbeat songs while there were too many performance songs (songs that only the worship team was able to sing). There were many breakdowns with the go-carts, all were repaired by welding. The go- carts have all been sold. The Camp is looking into buying some go-carts for next year from a business in Centraila that is for sale. There was confusion on the shotgun bowling this year, you could not bring your own gun. This should be made clear on the registration next year. There was not enough time for the slow pitch softball. There was a problem with the "learn to drive a bulldozer" when the first driver got the dozer hung up on a stump and could not get free. The Camp capacity is currently limited by the dining hall space. Next year there is talk of adding classic car show to the program. A better explanation is needed of what activities are covered in the basic fee and which ones have an extra cost. The announcement for the offering should make it clear how the money received is divided.

Next years dates are: September 28 - 30, 2007.  The worship team from River Ridge will lead the meetings.

Projects: Jeff Wolf reported that the over under bunk bed are on hold. There was discussion on how to support the mattress. Making one bunk was discussed as a way of checking the design. There is a question on whether the bottom bed should be regular or queen size.

Next meeting: Will be in February 10th at Cascades Camp and Conference Center.

John Tissell, secretary
