2006 Covenant Men Annual Report

The NPC Covenant Men organization has had another year of growth. The highlight of the year was the amazing turnout for the 48^th annual Fall Retreat. For the first time in decades, men were turned away as over 225 men attended a weekend packed with "manly" activities. The doubling of attendance at the retreat was attributed to the work of the Cascades Camp staff providing publicity, new ideas, and man-power to revitalize the weekend. Plans are in the works to expand this years retreat even more.

Covenant Men's continuing emphasis on outreach was combined with its long held support of camping by encouraging its members to participate in the Cascades Camp "Legacy of Faith" campaign.

Covenant Men are awarding scholarships for the 2005-2006 school year to twelve full-time North Pacific Conference seminary students attending North Park Seminary. Over the past 20 years, Covenant Men have made 80 grants to 57 students totaling $26,220. These scholarships are funded by designated pledges that have been invested in National Covenant Properties. This investment now totals $36,315. The scholarships are paid from the interest earned, with the surplus reinvested.

We have continued to look for ways to improve the communication with our churches. Our web site (www.npccovenantmen.org) continues to provide access for publicity, board minutes, and resources for men's ministries.
